Carrion

Residing on the upper most layer of the Underdark, Carrion welcomes all who wish to call it home. Originally created as a means to allow the Myconids a place of respite from the unforgiving depths. Travelers would soon find themselves welcomed by the peaceful protectors, a jarring sight in the Underdark. From their quaint village grew a mighty city forged in stone and supported by the natural foliage of the Underdark. The city teeming with overgrown ivy, mushrooms, and a variety of herbs, from above you almost cant see the city. The citizens of Carrion have learned to grow what they need, not just food but building materials as well. The Myconids to this day still govern over the people of Carrion, themselves lead by their Sovereign Elder.

Government

Carrion is governed and ruled by the Sovereign Myconid, although the myconids are quick to say they simply guide the will of Carrion not govern it.

Defences

The city is surrounded by a 30 foot wooden wall, large braziers burn a mysterious deep blue along the wall.

Industry & Trade

There are many merchants that travel to Carrion to trade food, spices, and seeds for the unique materials gathered by the Underdark's fauna and flora.

Infrastructure

Much of the city is built in to the walls of the caverns to help make the most of a limited space. A river flows through the center of the city which provides clean water as the natural rocks and sediment help to purify it on its way down to the cavern. Much of the buildings are built in to the natural foliage, large mushrooms mixed wisteria like trees.

Districts

There's little rhyme or reason to the placement of buildings in Carrion, the city has clearly been expanded more by those who've built homes there and less for the sake of expansion. There are countless small shops and stalls that are scattered across the city to help provide necessary supplies to the citizens.
