Duram

A borough in the Mibah block of the CapMet. As one of the edge boroughs, it must face the harsh weather of Tangah more directly, and its infrastructure and buildings reflect this. Large prefab buildings, with additional ramshackle construction sandwiched between them, are common, and the almost constant frigid weather requires all terrain vehicles capable of traveling in deep snow.
One of the poorest boroughs in the CapMet, Duram's population gets by largely through undesirable labour, such as hauling in the other Mibah boroughs, labouring in quarries and mines just outside the city, or working in the poorly kept outer city factories. While a small economy of necessity has formed around the development and maintenance of the technology that keeps people warm and dry in the borough, it is hardly enough to supplement.
Organized crime has taken root in Duram, and the prevalence of disease and homelessness has made the population desperate for change. The Catherine Relief Organization is often seen in Duram.
