Doki Remingale

A soldier who trained in West Gale and fled at the first real sign of battle.

Personal History

Doki was born in West Gale in the year S170. When he was only three years old his father, Dopo Remingale, was named Regent of the city.
In S186 the city was attacked by a large Pannoowan war band. While other young men and women charged into battle, Doki hid himself in a closet and prayed for safety. Alone in the darkness his prayers were answered by Hamamoto who promised to keep him safe in exchange for his loyal dedication and service. At that moment his silver armor was blessed by the Dark Goddess and faded to a dark ebony color. It became especially resistant to arrows, such as those used by the Pannoowan, and kept Doki safe as he fled the city and travelled east.
Doki travelled to Nanganato at the behest of his new goddess, and met up with a group of Tunsheian cultists who were carving out a secret temple to the Dark Goddess under the city. Doki was instructed to travel with them and keep them safe from the creatures they sometimes came across during their work.
Far below the surface and the light of day, Doki became even more afraid than he had been when the Pannoowan attacked. He shirked his duties and hid whenever he heard strange noices or saw shadows moving. Even though nothing had actually attacked the workers yet, this still displeased Hamamoto. She decided to replace the blessing she had granted him with a curse. She made his ebony breastplate especially weak to swords, claws, rocks, and clubs. The next time there was a small cave in, Doki fled and hid himself away again. This time something followed though. A large insectoid creature, with hundreds of legs and pinchers dripping with venom came crawling out of the darkness and ate him alive. Nothing was left of Doki but the cursed breastplate.
