Nuzìni
The nuzìni (lit. A thing that sky's, sky being used as a verb. zì=sky, -ni = noun to verb, nu- one who [verbs]) were a species of Ilyannoi created by Natalay I Shiroko. Natalay had been more advanced in the creation of Ilyannoi than her husband and older brother, Timof III Shiroko. As the tsudaeba (royal consort) she was responsible for supporting Timof and assisting in the running of the empire. When Timof began his war against what he thought were rebellious forces in 560, Natalay was left to run the empire from the Gandenye where she continued to develop new Ilyannoi.
Upon hearing of his death in 561, Natalay used her newly created nuzìni to end the rebellion. They were later used once more close to the end of her reign in order to fight in the Third Great War. Eoion and Yzel came to a stalemate that ended with Yzel reclaiming only a small portion of lost territory, but suffering heavy casualties. They are still spoken of in hushed tones among the Yzelian military
After the death of the five nuzìni created by Natalay I, no others were made as they were enormous and difficult to care for. However, she left coded instructions for her family in case they were ever needed again.
