Zoiism

Zoiism is an ancient faith that is well represented in the Lhazaar Principalities and is only now growing in influence throughout The Five Nations and even some Feyfolk. Founded by the legendary air genasi named Zephyr it is tied intrinsically to the work of the Amyna Omada, a network of primordial races dotted around the globe who protect and oversee portals to the Elemental Planes. It does not deny the existence of the Asterian pantheon but simply disregards them as other, admittedly grander, beings within Kosmos’ creation. Just as mortals are, they must be humble in the face of Kosmos as well as the elements which he controls and from which he shaped all life as it is known. Beyond that, there are some spiritual teachings which are loosely associated alongside it, originally developed by Zephyr and passed down through generations. Broadly speaking, these teachings are concerned with achieving enlightenment through the balance of the four elements that all mortals are made of. The grounding and humility of Earth, the emotionality and intuition of water, the intellect and initiative of air, and the willpower and inner strength of fire. Before Zephyr left her mortal form to become one with the wind itself, she foretold that three others like her, The Harbingers she called them, would come one day to complete Kosmos' work. Combining perfectly the elemental and mortal realms and crafting from them a paradise for all mortal beings. Zoiists have, ever since, been waiting for such figures to arrive. There are some who believe that Visraza as described by the Nauts fits the description of a water genasi.
