The Rivertail Pumphouse
Purpose / Function
From 1902 to 1956, this was the city's water works and pumped water from the river for domestic use. It also produced electricity for the city's street lighting.
Alterations
Unknown to anyone outside of the resident squatter, a section of the old pumphouse has been enclosed in order to house a private quarters.
Tourism
Currently, no one visits the location and it is marked as off-limits while undergoing the consideration process for protection as an historic building.
