City of New Eindie

New Eindie is a city in Middlin, America. It is a moderately sized city that regularly finds itself on the top of various "Haunted City" lists and continues to find itself the setting of strange and supernatural tales for a variety of anthologies and horror zines.

Demographics

As of the Census of 1990, there are 52,905 people in 19,833 households holding 13,957 families. The racial make-up of the inhabitants is 61.1% White, 13.2% Black, 14.4% Hispanic, 0.2% Native American, 2.1% Multiracial, 2.6% Other.

Under 18 is approximately 19%, 16% are retired or at retirement age. Females outnumber males, 54% and 46% respectively.

Industry & Trade

New Eindie is a manufacturing city, home of Harvey Donaldson Choppers and several other fabrication companies and respective facilities. In addition to the residents working at those locations, approximately 20,000 workers commute into the city from throughout the county.

Infrastructure

Two major highways run through the city, connecting to the north-south Interstate 65. Freight railalso runs north to south on the western edge of the city. New Eindie is serviced by the New Eindie Municipal Airport (NEA).

Tourism

There are two reasons for tourists to visit New Eindie. The first group are well-tolerated as they focus on various artistic exhibits that can be found throughout the city. The second group are often a nuisance to the inhabitants of the city as they arrive chasing the various ghost stories that have sprung from New Eindie. Either way, the city caters to all comers offering haunt tours as well as art.

Geography

New Eindie is located on the western edge of the eastern forests, with a low but varied elevation where several large creeks and a few rivers meet.
