Active rank of Lancer in the Agosian military

Appointment

Arens are appointed by the respective Centurions as the need arises. There is no ceremony for promotion to Aren.

Responsibilities

Tactical execution of the Centurion’s objectives. Ensure the well being of the Aren’s troops Maintain and enforce military laws and codes of conduct for their soldiers

Benefits

Small parcel of land and compensation based on rank, years of service, and any special distinction

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Arens can be dismissed from rank based on the standard procedures set forth in Agosian military law. They can also be discharged from service, though not from rank due to mental or physical injury.
