Sara Hoss

Abbess Hoss is an elderly member of the Hoss noble family and the Abbess of the Abbey at the Venatos Monastary. Abbess Hoss is the aunt of the current Count of Hoss province, Mouton Hoss.  Many consider her to be the next choice to take over for her nephew if he dies without an heir, however the abbess has publicly stated she would have no interest in taking over the role of Countess of Hoss.

Abbess Hoss is known for being a strict, but fair and kind head of the Abbey at the Venatos Monastary. She is a devout follower of the religion, as well as an expert scholar. She is known to favor Veritas of Truth of The Heavenly Chorus.  She is considered by the church to be one of the foremost experts on the Heavenly Chorus, and Veritas in particular.  In her time as Abbess of the monastery she has greatly expanded the diversity of the monastery to include many more students from Renvere, as opposed to the almost exclusive membership of Imperial citizens.  She has had some controversy among church scholars as she decries older church text as being outdated, stating publicly many times that the world is ever changing, and thus the church and its teachings must change with it, or become irrelevant to newer generations.

There are somewhat scurrilous rumors that she once had a relationship with both Diamon Waycrest and Edwin Brosh while they were married, and that she took the office as abbess at the monastery after thier falling out after the Oldbuck Killings.
