Ring of Binding

History

This signet ring was created by Dumisani, as a vessel for some of his power, as a backup. He never needed it but he still kept it so that others couldn't destroy it or use it to control him.
Having it with him when he wormed his way into the Sielah Universe made him feel smug as he had something no one else had. As the seasonal cycles passed, he watched the Yestar.
During the Civil War, he took advantage of the situation Tuathal created with the Supernaturals who became the Darktide Defenders.
Dumisani altered the ring so that it could be used for a specific purpose... the purpose of The Binding.
He gave the ring to Tuathal, making him believe it came from Morgance, and that she wanted him to use it.

Significance

This ring is what allows The Binding to happen. Tuathal was able to use it on a massive scale once, near the end of the Civil War. After that, he and his descendents had to use it on each individual Supernaturals who became a member of the Darktide Defenders.
