Divine Goals & Aspirations

Water:

Ethelauis in his purest aspect as the element of water is worshipped, but rarely alone, as in this form, he is mostly considered an element of the Seven, and so, he is mostly worshipped as the god of water by those who revere the Seven as a single unity, a rare type of cult, but one found all over the world, in many different forms. Druids and elementalists, especially hydromancers, also revere him in this aspect.

The Sea:

Those who revere Ethelauis in his aspect as the God of the sea are, unsurprisingly, those whose lives are dependent on it: sailors and fishermen. Most of them will have little talismans dedicated to him that they clutch and pray to in dangerous moments at sea, and they will make sacrifices to him before and after sea-voyages. There are also temples to the Sea God in many port cities.

The Weather:

The most widely worshipped of Ethelauis' aspects, the Stormlord, is worshipped by barbarians, who call on his wild fury, and by farmers, who try to appease his fury. Everyone who wants rain, thunder, wind, or lack thereof will show their reverence for Ethelauis. More than any other god he is associated with thunder and lightning. In Tetsugawa, where they call Ethelauis Arashisan, they also worship him in his weather-controlling aspect, alongside the other three gods of the elements.
