Brother Takeo
A lanky, gawky boy of 14 on his way back to Rokugan to complete his Gempukku. He has been an apprentice to Moto Batu for the last 4 years, traveling the West and learning the art of commerce. He did not know about the Civil War until he and his master came to Haven . He is currently hiding his Mantis Clan necklace (mother of pearl), so that he will not be recognized as a Southerner.
He has a pet ferret named Kichiro.
He is vaguely terrified of Mbali but also thinks of her like a big sister or a particularly scary aunt.
In the month of the Rat, 1864, Takeo was forced to join the Brotherhood of Shinsei lest he be executed as samurai of the Confederacy. He lives and works at the shrine at Haven. Works for Tadaka.
