Chikchak
Deceased. Chikchak was a member of the Dust-Fur Tribe of the Nezumi, living in the region around Yellow Gorge. On the 8th day of the Rooster, 1864, he met met with Isawa Tadaka, Toku Kazehime, and Utaku Akasha. They exchanged food and stories. Eventually Chikchak told the Rokugani travelers where they could find safe-haven. This location eventually became the town of Haven (Hinansho Mura).
On the 27th Day of the Dog, Chikchak and two fellow Dust-Fur nezumi were killed by the soldiers of the Red Company for supposedly stealing a wagon Kaede and her husband and killing their oxen. Their bodies were hung from the gallows as a warning to other Nezumi.
Chikchak was an aspiring storyteller and a Rememberer in-training. He had a Tchr (memory stick). It was returned to his tribe and former mate, Nhif, by Tadaka and Toku Kazehime on the 9th Day of the Boar, 1864.
