Department of Justice

Structure

Leadership

The Department of Justice is one of the many departments of the Republic. The secretary who heads the department is appointed by the Vice-President from an elected deputy of the Parliament of the Republic with the approbation of the Office of the Federal Civil Service. The latter appoints the Deputy Secretary of Justice when necessary since he is not linked to the electoral cycles.

Again, when it's needed, it is then the Deputy Secretary who designates the under secretaries directing the undersecretariats which are focus on particular topics within the department's jurisdiction. These undersecretariats are finally divided into a certain number of administrative sections which are under the direction of Assistant Secretaries.
