Gradyent

Gradyents specifically serve as hybrid elite wielders sent out to specific places in shifts for the sole purpose of monetizing many battles for local governments. However, the more official purpose appears to be forcing gradyents to filter out a specific level of Leray wielders by power or skill, via challenges that bet that wielder's ability to travel to their intended destination town or city. It has become common knowledge that if a wielder wants to access a key town or important city while growing their magical powers, they must defeat the gradyent at that area's exit for each official route. Failure for that wielder may result in penalties.
In many cases, gradyents can also substitude or stand in for Leray agents, and are thus required to inherit the same shared training.

Education

Gradyents are chosen after becoming official elites through the academy, and hand-selected by members of the Tower elites. They are then sent to the council for approval, and assigned special training before they can begin.
