Iktal Region
Another one of Sprawn Valley's smaller regions, Iktal Island has been populated by the public. The island's location is in the southeast quadrant of the nation, and is noticeably larger than any of the other islands. Iktal Island supports three large towns of commerce, and villages set up near the oceans surrounding them. Also home to one of Sprawn Valley's most significant museums of technology, the commerce and industries here rely primarily on fishing and trading between other regions. (Pronunciation: “Ike-tall”)
Geography
Iktal Island is certainly a large continent, perhaps larger than the Gulop Region (though less developed). Many settlements here including Phaze Port rely heavily on fishing for their food and survival. Since they are so far away from Junon and Gulop, it is always a long wait on shipments from the ocean. The region itself is far wider in a vertical north-south direction than it is east-west, which distributes the population well.
Ecosystem
Forests are not dense here, and the fall season tends to last a lot longer, making it more difficult to time the growing season for crops.
History
Iktal has never been a large player in the history books of Sprawn Valley, not even during the Avion Wars. When the war raged on, the settlements of Iktal remained neutral in the conflict, enabling self-growth even with their lower population distribution. Because of this, the region has seen less action and remains a calm peaceful place of living. Lots of Leray agents and other officials like to purchase living space or build houses here because of the peace, given they can simply teleport inside and out of the island. However, Leray battles have steadily been increasing here over time, the popularity running high because the region is unique on its own. A change of scenery is what a lot of wielders go for when deciding where they want to train or battle.
