Leray Mage

Leray mages are professional magic users who have attained high rankings in the past, but currently wish to maintain a role that does not involve them in combat or Leray battles. Mages have different sub-titles related to their roles, such as a mage of reversal, who reverses unwanted permanent spell effects, stationed in the Den of Purity, or the mage of security, who oversees security projects and documents related to governmentally owned structures. Mages are an extension of the mage council, but depending on their role, may also report to other parties for their job. The often invisible organization of mages controls the progression of politics, technology, national security, and land development all over Sprawn Valley, and they do not conduct themselves in Leray battles unless special circumstances call for it. The mage of Eldora Tower is the highest ranking mage, and is considered untouchable by the mage council alone, as he or she reports to the champion of Leray magic first.

Qualifications

Leray mages do not have to be expert Leray wielders, but still require a minimum of basic level 1 training as well as graduation from the political collage in Eldora City.

The mage of education investigates schools and reports to the council member who is in charge of the education department. The Eldora Tower mage educates, monitors, and ensures the safety and progression of the Leray champion, reporting to the council only in emergency situations, or to report illegal activities of those who are in Eldora Tower.

Responsibilities

Mages run all of the departments of Sprawn Valley through the mage council, giving life to each specific department, as well as advisement to the council on what areas need improvement.

Benefits

Leray mages make better wages than most Leray elites, almost as much as Leray gradyents. Most mages are alone in their department they are appointed to, in terms of political power and rank. They may not always set the rules of their roles, but can determine how to go about their daily duties. Mages who are hired normally have life-terms.
