Classic Tunics

Classic Tunics is a mid-priced clothing shop that carries traditional Keplan fashion.

Though the Keplar Empire is known for having the strictest gender roles and largest emphasis on 'masculinity' of all the nations, the clothing in Keplar remains very androgynous for the most part.

The middle of the store has rows of tunics in all sizes, colors, and styles. There is no concept of a mens tunic or womens tunic, as the tunic is just the base. Keplan style is expected to build off this base.

To the left of the tunics is the section with womens belts and accessories. The typical belts and drapings that women are expected to wear with their tunics.

To the right is the mens section with more masculine belts and a wide variety of accessories that remind men of strong military heros of old. This includes fashion versions of old war breastplates.

In the back of the store the shoes are only seperated by size, as with traditional Keplan shoes there is no distinction between a man's shoe and a woman's shoe in style or construction.

Wearing pants under the tunic is optional. For more traditional formal events it would be considered improper, but pants are growing in popularity among the younger generations.

A lot of nobility still considers pants to be poor people's clothing, as it is associated with workers in the factories.

Sponsored Artists

Classic Tunics has two high profile models that they sponsor. Both make public appearances to promote the brand as well as being featured in printed advertisments.

The female model for Classic Tunics is Fortuna, the world famous classical violinist and singer. She is under a contract with both Inc Entertainment and Classic Tunics that requires her to always present herself in a way adherent with conservative Keplan values. This includes what she wears, what she eats, who she hangs around, and even the way she does her hair.

The male model was a much more controversial pick, however. Bacchus Keplar, the 3rd Prince of the Keplar Empire of all people applied for the job. Having an actual prince modeling your fashion is an enormous flex, but at the same time he is variable that is hard to control. Many people speculate about what his greater goal might be.

Despite the face the Classic Tunics sells pants, both models are under contract to never wear pants.
