Vassk

Vassk is a Trandoshan bounty hunter who the party encountered on Ord Trasi, and subsequently dealt with to claim a bounty on Rakk Tandor from the Bounty Hunters' Guild.

Vassk's background is currently unknown.

Appearance

Vassk is slightly below average height for a Trandoshan, with a standard swamp-green colouration and bold, orange eyes. Vassk bears many slight scars from encounters with a range of wild creatures over his years of bounty hunting. He has a habit of nervously licking his teeth - particularly when Krum is around.

Characteristics

Vassk is a follower of the Scorekeeper, as many Trandoshans are, believing that honourable battles and hunts bring glory and spiritual peace. Exceptionally honour-bound, Vassk is a staunch believer in fairness - at least, the kind of fairness that permits assassinations (if only under contract). Vassk carries a unique blaster rifle named Syrice which is notable for its modularity, performing equally well as a hunting rifle and a short-range carbine. In anticipation of the Grand Serennian Hunt, he made several updates to the weapon, including mounting an improved scope and a harpoon cannon.

Current events

Vassk happened to be on-world when he stumbled on what he thought to be the find of a lifetime: the arrival of Shira Mindé, the target of several exceptionally valuable bounties. Instead, the party lured Vassk into an ambush. The group fought Vassk to a stalemate, only for Azleen to jump him to identify his employer - the Bounty Hunters' Guild. Fearing parting on poor terms with the honour-oriented Trandoshan, Adōpe returned Vassk's weapon - Syrice - to him, ensuring that they parted on good terms. Our protagonists then later encountered him on Ord Mantell at the Bounty Hunters' Guildhouse, where they were seeking to claim a bounty on the smuggler and all-round-scoundrel Rakk Tandor. Vassk offered to help the party, claiming the bounty on their behalf on the basis of future repayment. He subsequently met with the party on Serenno, where they agreed to forgo an immediate claim on the 20,000 credit bounty so that Vassk could enter the Grand Serennian Hunt, promising the party the first 30,000 in winnings, plus a 30:70 split of any further profits.
