Do You Want To Buy A Pirate Base?

General Summary

• With some time to spare, we go to destroy some pirates that are making life unpleasant on Torunga. We go to the Criat system, and do a stealthy scouting run on the pirate base.
• We decide to fake our ship is in distress to get pirates to come to us! Nell will go onto the pirate ship when they approach and turn off their comms so their base won't know what's happening.
• Our plan works better than expected and we are able to tow our ship to the base, using the pirate ship. We then storm the pirate base, destroying some droids and some pirates. We come into the possession of an HK Droid, the "Professor." It seems threateningly helpful. We also rescue many slaves.
• We have a discussion of what to do to handle the pirates that will be coming to the base, and how best to help the people we've rescued. We decide to ferry people to Mirial, and hope we're back before another pirate ship arrives.
• Our first run is the critically injured and the prisoners. Asha, Gridtok, and Niwadi take the flight to Mirial; Amur and Tor'vir stay on the pirate base to work on the ships at the base, repair the HK droid, and guard the rescued people.
• At Mirial there is a minor difficulty as the Republic Base can't take in imperial refugees. After a bit of discussion, we get medical assistance for the injured, and a temporary agreement to help our refugees until we can return and remove the 'politically problematic' ones. Niwadi now owes the Base Commander one race or one cargo/courier/etc - type run.
• We return to the pirate base, grab all the Republic Citizens, and ferry them back to Mirial.
• Those at the pirate base decide on a plan to handle the next pirates. Unfortunately they show up early. Fortunately, the HK unit deceives them, and they fly on. The Starcrawler returns to the Pirate Base, and we decide we do not have enough time to run the Imperial Citizens out to Mirial. Instead we will put them on the Starcrawler, provide the one pilot we've found in the refugees with a pre-charted flight plan to Mirial, and hide them in the asteroids while we deal with the pirates.
• When the Raging Tonii returns, we are ready! We fly out in the shuttle pretending to be crew replacements, and get the new shipment of slaves in the shuttle. We then board the pirate ship, locking pirates into their rooms, and fighting other pirates, droids, and the wookie Captain. We eventually take control of the ship. We fly this new ship and the Starcrawler to Mirial, get our Imperials and Torungans, and go to Torunga, drop off our rescuees, and head off back to the pirate base, leaving our extra ship behind.
• Gridtok joins the Bounty Hunter guild.
• Pirate Ship #2! We reprise the same plan, but this Captain is more cunning, and there are several desperate moments with gas and lack of air, but we eventually manage to take the ship intact.
• After learning the last pirate has seemingly abandoned this base, and that it is unlikely we could take out that ship, we decide to blow up the pirate base and return to Torunga.
• We give Alize the medical ship, and we "lease to own" the other pirate ship to Clan Qiju. Clan Qiju plans to fetch other from Tatooine to come see how wonderful Torunga is. Alize plans to form a school on the other ship. With the funds we've made from looting pirates and turning in bounties, we upgrade the StarCrawler, which will include a bay for one of the starfighters Tor'vir fixed that Niwadi wishes to keep.
• During upgrades, there is a discussion with Yerba about their findings, and Niwadi realizes what the giant harpoon on the ship is for - hunting pergil, to use them as hyperspace transport to places ships can't usually travel.
