Chapter 9: Assaults and Complications
Sitting in the underground clinic beneath the Midland District of Calais, recogniztion dawns on Iwa. The young man walking out of the Palace of Glass is identical to the holo of Zallarra Terrek's son, Eric!
The moment passes as Charkarr nudged Iwa and indicates figures in the background of the holoimage. One was Pasquale Contee but another she recognizes is a human her and dizzy encountered on a ship traveling between Mechis II and Mechis III.
Alon Paul Thoulieu.
Charkarr indicates that Alon Paul has been present at the palace during many of the recent troubles, even back to the droid attack at Port St. Pardoux.
But there is the question of the Countess who may or may not be held at the mysterious Isle Du Fer Noir, the "Isle of Black Iron" or locally referred to as the "Black Island". Along with that is the story of a secured hospital there that the Lightning Guard have been using for special patients.
And what about Zallarra Terrek? She's still missing. If they find her son, how do they begin to find his mother?
