Davish Tam
Knight Errant Sir Davish Tam
... professionally admirable, if not annoying and inconvenient...
A Knight Errant of the Crimson Knights assigned to the Tapani Sector region. Currently, he works in a joint detective agency with Jedi Knight VN Ysadora.
Davish is a human, looks human ( though in reality he is a human / rattataki hybrid ) male with dark hair and hazel-bright emerald eyes. He has a moderate brown "olive tone" skin color, some of which is due to his preference to spend time in the outdoors when on planet. He keeps his dark black hair cut reasonably short and neat, a business-like cut. He doesn't enjoy the feel of having a beard or mustache and will shave regularly when he can.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Davish is fit with a lean, muscular build like a gymnast. He keeps in good shape physically with daily workout routines - when he's not on a mission. He keeps his rattataki bloodline quiet, mostly from habit since his rattataki relative is an escaped slave and former revolutionary. He tells that aspect of himself only to those that he's close to.
Special abilities
Davish - like all Crimson Knights - is trained in the use of the Force. In particular, he's most adept at using Telekinesis and the unique Crimson Knight Force skill of Balance Force.
Mental characteristics
Failures & Embarrassments
Davish feels an intense sense of guilt over the loss of his fellow Crimson Knights at the massacre in the Knight's Hall on Coruscant. He feels responsible and takes it as a personal failure.
Likewise, Davish feels a sense of deep failure over the tragedy where Reavers infested an Imperial Interdictor Cruiser. He had been assigned the task of overseeing the cruiser's voyage where it would recover the experimental Reaver patients. But he had also - in secret - been assigned to destroy the experiments. His original plan had been to cause a false reactor breach, which would force the crew to escape. At that point, the ship and the altered Reavers would be atomized. Instead, the plan backfired, and the 'reactor breach' caused the safeties on the Reaver containment cells to fail, allowing them to assault the unprepared crew.
Last, Davish feels a sense of guilt over an assignment from then-Emperor Palpatine. Palpatine had chosen Davish to deliver a package to the young Emperor Gregor Vortapani on Procopia. Davish could sense the Dark Side in the package and suspected it was a Sith artifact. But because he detected that Palpatine was using the Dark Side to monitor Davish's progress, he had no choice but to deliver the deadly artifact to young Emperor Gregor. While Gregor survived the encounter with what turned out to be a Sith holocron due to the intervention of Yeager Lexics, Davish has trouble forgiving himself for that episode. He feels it made him betray a portion of the code of the Crimson Knights.
Mental Trauma
Some years back, Davish went on a fact-finding mission with clone trooper Razak from Razak's Roughnecks to a tombworld in House Vormecetti home province.
They found the graveyard moon just as the records described. What the records didn't describe was at least two full colonies of a previously unknown species of anthropods. Davish and Razak explored a set of hidden based in the southern mountain range that had suffered the full brunt of the creatures assault.
Only to discover the species was a genetic mutation created by Kamonian scientists hired to try and clone the creatures. Davish and Razak barely made it out with their lives and still needed extensive surgery to recover from their wounds.
To this day, Davish suffers a mild PTSD from the event. If he's tired or seriously wounded, the PTSD is more likely to happen. Also, if confronted with human-sized anthropodal species has a risk of activating his PTSD if he's stressed.
Morality & Philosophy
Davish follows the code of the Crimson Knights
Personality Characteristics
Likes & Dislikes
Being a Crimson Knight, especially a Knight Errant that is sent to work in a particular sector or region, sometimes means he has little time for hobbies. But that doesn't mean he lacks any.
Davish is - and always has been - fond of rhythm dancing and music of the various cultures he encounters. As a young child, before his time in the Crimson Knights, his own family's culture was known for retelling old - if not ancient - stories through dance and song.
This was done during seasonal events that, in times past, were part of ancient harvest traditions. Davish himself is an accomplished dancer, a skill that translated well over to the Deku Munto form of the Daredi martial art style. A style he enjoys practicing because it is so similar to storytelling through dance.
Despite spending many years training on Courscant, he enjoys any time he can in the outdoors. Rock climbing and hiking are particular favorites, but he doesn't often have time to enjoy either on a regular basis.
He is a well-read individual, but not only because of his training in the Crimson Knight order. Davish has a deep love of books and often keeps several on his datapad for reading.
Aside from reading, in quiet moments, Davish enjoys sketching and painting. He often considers it a form of meditation.
