The Hunt for Silar Mins: Act 8
General Summary
Weighty Options
The bounty hunter could kill everyone aboard the Banana Republic by pressing a button. But instead, he just threatened. Why?
Madalitso Cardea was resourceful, brutal, flamboyant, and dangerous. But he had not shown any interest in torture. Not once. Using a gravity bomb on the ship and threatening to use it? That seemed unlike him. The question resurfaced for everyone in the room.
Why hadn’t he used it?
Thick silence flooded the room the instant the message from Madalitso clicked off. It was shattered a second later when a message from the Vivisector arrived two seconds later.
"Banana Republic, this is Vivisector. Good news. The Ninth Star Empire Flotilla has replied and estimate to be in-system within two days. Their commander, Shiro Kurita, wanted to extend his thanks on behalf of the Empire for the return of the svelte shuttle. He’ll be glad to take it off your hands as arranged. Vivisector out."
It was another item to add to a long list, starting with evidence of a mass murder, to getting the Jarl brothers to help free the trapped ARC troopers, and more.
The silence returned. This time it felt heavy with anticipation and responsibility.
Rewards Granted
- Maia (pretending to be Dizzy, who might be dead but Maia does not know that) has now adopted a shoulder pet. It's a spider droid. Maia named it "Hamahakki" and got herself badly beat in a grenade situation because she was trying to shield Hamahakki from the concussion wave.
Rushlight asked the Spartan Imperium to shoot the Banana Republic. Actually, he asked the Spartan Imperium to shoot the gravity bomb, not to shoot the Banana Republic.
They're trying to suggest that is the same thing.
Then Greelo offered to SELL the gravity bomb to the Vivisector, who would have to send some Spartan Imperium crewmen to COLLECT THEIR PURCHASE. Which means we get paid for them taking the bomb off our ship.

Notes
- Who planted all these bombs? Madalitso Cardea almost certainly, but for who? Techno Union, probably. Spartan Imperium, maybe?
- Who drugged certain key individuals, discarded their gear and armor, and vanished with them?
- Where were the prisoners taken? Brown Sector.
- Who, working across the Galaxy, is targeting the experimental sole pod of Clone Troopers designed to be female ARC Troopers?
- WHO TOOK DIZZY?!?
- Are her supposed "buddies" from the Banana Republic in on it? Probably not!
- Is Morticia dead? No.
- Was the murder of Morticia intended by whoever planted these bombs?
- Did the organizer of this attack know that Morticia used to carry the former Director of Tapani Imperial Security on his most secret missions, the ones concealed even from the rest of the Tapani Imperium government? This seems to be unrelated.
