Hysteria 10: "4444"
General Summary
After Hinata wakes up with Tak, an awkward conversation ensues, during which Tak realizes that Hinata and Torsten are incompatible. After Hinata returns to Nova Base, Torsten urges him to stop talking to Tak, and Louise says she will miss band practice. After being warned further by Tak, Hinata and the rest of Flight A proceed to their Nova Gauntlet the next day. After a long hike with Mitsuru to retrieve intelligence and meet up with Torsten and Céline, Flight A retrieves their mechs planetside and heads to an old GUSF facility under suspicious circumstances.
Exploring the MAY-5 facility, the group finds it to be over 300 years old, and seemingly for the purpose of studying local wildlife related to Siliconians. After finding valulable ghost tech, Celine is given orders to open a large door to an underground portion of the facility. After growing even more suspicious and double checking their orders, the group proceeds.
Siliconians then crawl out of the facility, attacking the group. In a moment, the group's lives are changed forever, and Celine volunteers herself for a suicide mission to activate the base defences. Hinata, Mitsuru, and Torsten retreat to their mechs, only to find them partially sabotaged. After Mitsuru climbs in Hinata's cockpit, he is faced with a choice to follow orders to escape, or disregard them. Choosing to ignore orders to try to save Celine, Hinata almost gets himself and his sister killed, only narrowing rescuing a maimed Celine before being rescued by a Stellar Vanguard Group Lieutenant.
