Life

Born and raised in the small town of Tomioka on the dry hot planet of Meleager, Hinata was indoctrinated into the Ecliptic Order by his mother Ai from a young age. Going door-to-door proselytizing for the cult alienated him from the local community. After his father Saburo didn't join the order, a rift opened in the Shinkawa family, and Ai began giving money to the Ecliptics behind Saburo's back, culminating in domestic violence that split it apart by the time Hinata was nine years old.
In high school, at the age of sixteen, Hinata was abducted by the Black Sun Syndicate during a raid on Meleager. He was to be sold into slavery, but was instead saved and recruited by the SVG.
