Hysteria 12: "Heartbreak Hotel"
General Summary
After being released from six months in the brig, Hinata Shinkawa meets with Céline Langlais, who has been promoted and retired from a career as a pilot following her injuries. She gives Hinata her Cydonia Legionary TSSF, and Hinata learns that he is now the commander of A Flight. While getting lunch after catching up with Ludo and Niko, Hinata sees Celestine have a shiver, reportedly of an impending alien invasion, much to the concern of Wei Wu. After meeting back up with Mitsuru, she hints at some personal troubles, but keeps quiet. After band practice with Louise and the others, Hinata makes plans with Tak for the weekend.
After saying hi to Placide, Hinata meets with Astrea, who asks for Hinata to retrieve her Tsutsumi's mech. Agreeing, Hinata goes to meet up with Tak and play games, and the evening quickly takes on romantic connotations- Hinata accepts an offer to date in secret, despite concerns about their relationship's longevity, Tak's previous relationship with Mitsuru, and its secretive nature due to Torsten. While spending the night at Tak's apartment, Hinata recieves blackmail from an unknown source threatening to leak compromising footage of his sister unless he transfers from Nova Base.
Meeting with Wei, Hinata makes plans to go after the blackmailer, while feigning compliance. Telling his sister about things results in his realization that her wounds from her relationship with Tak are much fresher than anticipated, leading Hinata to be honest with her about his involvement with Tak. After much distressed deliberation, Mitsuru opts to try to get back together with her, this time on a secret basis- after a covert meeting is arranged, Tak agrees, leaving her in a relationship with both of the Shinkawa siblings.
