Joseph Dando was a war hero from the Siliconian War. Widely considered to be one of the premier pilots of his generation, he was responsible for a number of decisive contributions to the GU victory in the war. He married Azura Lorieux, his long time captain and future fleet admiral of the Martian GUSF.
