New Martis is a freezing arid planet in the
California System. It is run primarily by
Kusanagi, owners of the sole mining rights to the planet, and defended by its subsidiary, the
Stellar Vanguard Group.
Environment
New Martis has an unusual atmospheric composition requiring artificial domes for most habitation. The planet has lower gravity of 0.8g due to its small size, and has extensive natural resource deposits of rare earth elements that are seldom found in the
Shards.
Orbit
New Martis has two moons, Leda and Khaos. In its orbit is the massive Forge-7 Refinery, a station dedicated to processing ores from the planet and producing Hydrogen-3 through fusion.
