Personal history
From the dawn of Starlon civilization, Talyx was hated. Unlike her sister, with her powers over healing that quickly made her a hero to the people, Talyx's powers over curses and poisons quickly made her into a threat to be eliminated.
Thus, some hundred or so years after making her presence known, her soul was captured and sealed into an artifact, and her body burnt at the stake. The artifact was buried deep within a crypt, so that she would never be found and released upon them once more.
Despite their attempts to hide her away, this would not be Talyx's fate, for Amber Lazuli has recently discovered the artifact and freed her from her deep slumber. However, with no physical form, Talyx can only exist as a barely visible spirit. The only way to show up and speak more reliably is to posess the body of someone already living.
Make no mistake, however: Even in this limited condition, Talyx is still very powerful, and just as capable of cursing and poisoning as she always was. Get on her bad side at your own peril.
Mental Trauma
Talyx's initial experience with Starlon civilization and resulting "death" has left her weary of interracting with others. She keeps up an aloof and uncaring front and tries to avoid developing attatchments to new people; after all, how should she know that she won't be betrayed again?
Recently she has softened up to a few special individuals, and if she continues to be treated as a living, thinking, feeling being with her own wants and needs, perhaps she will recover some day.

Like her sister Lucuri, Talyx was created directly with Zoris's creation magic, and thus does not have a biological mother.
Though Talyx has not been in contact with her father for a long time, she still believes in his mission and will do whatever is necessary to see it through.

It was, of course, Amber who freed Talyx from an artifact she was trapped in for possibly tens of thousands of years, and in return Talyx has sworn to serve her. Initially, Amber only released Talyx for the sole purpose of utilizing her power, but over time begins to genuinely care about Talyx's wellbeing.
