There needs to be someone with a bit of experience onboard this voyage. To keep the young ones in line and all that...
— Brian in an interview before The Last Voyage

History

Childhood and Adolescence

Brian grew up in the center of one of the largest cities, he was the eldest of five children and helped to look after his younger siblings. Alongside this he had a keen interest in science, which he pursued through school and went on to gain a degree from a prestigious university.

Career

After his success in his studies, many expected great things from Brian. However, much to the surprise of those around him, he cut contact with almost everyone he knew and joined the military where he served for around 40 years. He eventually retired, but with no family or friends around him he felt lost. Seeking opportunity, he volunteered for The Last Voyage. It's not like he had anything to lose...

Friends and Allies

Brian has made almost no effort to connect with his crewmates and prefers to spend any free time on his own. He is reclusive, and spends of his time working.   Initially, his crewmate's thought it was just down to nerves, but as time went on they began to get worried. Everyone in the space industry knew the stories about isolation driving travelers crazy, and nothing could go wrong on this mission.

I know, but ground control won't do anything and we're all so busy

You're the captain, you're supposed to know what to do!

Well, I don't! We'll just have to wait and see..
