The Revenant War
The Conflict
Battlefield
The war was fought in the Thaile Woodlands, Barskcrag Mountains, and the Eldritch Wastes, the latter being where the end of the war was ultimately decided.
The Engagement
In 1108 AR, Elgris Valfiel, set loose a sizeable force of undead into the Kingdom of Bithrop to destroy, rampage, and conquer the local villages in an attempt to overtake the country. Over the months, the horde pushed forward at surprising speed, eventually reaching the walls of Dulkahm and forcing the city to settle in for a ~234 day siege. The city's access to trade via the Narrow Sea was enough to keep the soldiers and civilians fed, and it enabled them to out maneuver Valfiel's minions by shipping troops to the north and marching south towards the horde.
Once the siege was broken, the armies of Bithrop began to push back, driving the undead out of their land in what would be another four years of conflict before reaching the Barskcrag Mountains, where the army confronted Valfiel and his minions for a final a final push against the undead. After a year and a half of pushing through the mountains in deadly stalemate after stalemate, the Bithropians entered the Eldritch Wastes and confronted the necromancer in what would be the final battle of the war.
