The Marivvet Phalanxes are two units of regular infantry spears that form a professional core for the Marivvet Guard.
Composition
Manpower
250 Fighters, plus 250 support troops.
Equipment
Fighting troops wear a helmet, scale, and carry a shield. They carry a pack with a bedroll, rations, waterskin, flint & steel, and 5 extra bandages.
Support troops wear a leather cap and gambeson. They carry a pack with bedroll, rations, waterskin, flint & steel, and tools appropriate to their specialty.
Weaponry
Fighting troops carry a spear, a short sword, and a hand axe. In addition, each carries two javelins for skirmishing.
Support troops are generally unarmed, though many bring daggers or short swords that they own as personal equipment, which is permitted.
Vehicles
Support troops use wagons and carts, as appropriate for the transport of their tools and supplies.
