Cosmic Infirmity

Cosmic Infirmity is the name of the condition which some Mediums develop after repeated use of their gift of throwing their consciousness past the boundaries of the Prime World Disk.
The condition is characterized by mental instability, a loss of contact with reality and an inability to function in their everyday life.
Those that suffer from this condition often become obsessed with the nature of the Cosmos to a point of losing any interest in eating, exercising or socializing.
It is assumed that it is more likely for Mediums to develop this condition the farther they cast their consciousness; those that suffer from it the worst claim to have seen the Abyss swallow all of the Cosmos and state that they now cannot think of anything else at all.
