Empire of Styx

The Empire of Styx was the nation that existed before the Great Revolution.

Founded twelve millenia before the Revolution by three elven clans that descended into the Deeplands after the War of the Ancients it was founded at the shore of Lake Aphon.

The last ruling dynasty of the empire was the Bezsvetowna noble family.

Historically the Empire of Styx extended far beyond the borders of current day Styx. The lands of the Empire stretched southward until the edge of the Leshivoi Forest and included the townships of Stillence and Niemandslandt as well as to the north where they reached the Sixteen Peaks of Peryknos.

It was during the time right before the Great Revolution that the God Empress of Styx came into conflict with the Holy Crown of the Kingdom of Darklight and a period of warfare led to the Empire losing large territories north.
As the Duchy of Sharhaven smelled blood more conflict followed and lands to the south too were lost.
The Empire of Styx was upended by the Great Revolution in the Year 0 according to the Calendar of Styx.
