Niemandslandt

Niemandslandt is a small community of farmers, hunters and gatherers located roughly halfway between the Obsidian Shore and Styx. Its name (literally "no-man's-land") stems due to the fact that neither fiefdom claims the isolated settlement as part of their territory which makes it a welcome resprite for those wishing to hide from the powers that be by staying in the wilderness-edged village.

It is said that some of the inhabitants of Niemandslandt are actually Beastfolk from the nearby Leshivoi Forest, a very rare example of the forest dwellers coexisting peacefully with Sumraki-Ashaī, Dwarves, Gnomes and men.

Niemandslandt was part of the territory of the Empire of Styx until the Middle Ages during which it was officially surrenderer to the Duchy of Sharhaven after one of the many territorial wars fought between Styx and its neighbors.
Despite the claim going to Sharhaven the Duchy never ended up making its claim count, all expeditions to the village to enact their rule ended with the troop of the Duchy to the south vanishing mysteriously near the Leshivoi Forest.
