Parliamentaria
The seat of government where the members of the Temple Parliament meet to decree laws and govern. Parliamentaria home to many ornate buildings that rise high above the surrounding districts and the People’s Republic’s crimson crest is flying above all of them. Parliamentaria was built after the Great Revolution. It was the newborn republic's first large scale building project, replacing both Risenhart as the seat of the government of Lakesore and Templesmeet as the seat of government for the entirety of the People’s Republic of Styx. The districts neo-republican architecture is magnificent, important governmental buildings found here are the Capitol, the Republican Disputandum and the Parliamentary Hall. There are little residential structures here beyond the housing blocks created for seated members of the Temple Parliament but most of the Grand Offices like the Office of Agriculture, the Office of Security, Office of Inner Security as well as the Office of the Divine are located here. Also found in Parliamentaria are many of the headquarters of the Great Unions of Styx.
Far less imposing than the Capitol or the Disputandum is the Parliamentary Hall, a stone building where the parliament meets for mere Elections and votes. If something is to be discussed beyond the casting of Oskolok (shards of pottery used to declare one's vote) the gathered group moves to the Disputandum.
The Capitol
One of the largest and most imposing structures in Parliamentaria is the State Capitol, a monumental building at the top of a great flight of white marble stairs. Its elaborate pillars uphold a great dome that is gold-plated and etched with scenes of the Great Revolution. Above the dome flies eternally the crest of the People's Republic of Styx, the Spider's Banner with the sickle and star waving in a stable magickally conjured breeze. The Republican Disputandum
The Disputandum, literally "Hall of Arguments" is where the parliament gathers for its extended debates (referred to by citizens as "Shouting Matches"). It is a great and majestic building with floors of gold-veined black marble and tall spires as well as pillars. The hall also features the Hall of Heroics, a great hall filled with the statues of Saints of the Temple as well as matyrs and heroes of the Great Revolution. This hall is a very popular place for visitors to the city and is open to those interested on days that the parliament does not meet.Parliamentary Hall
