Second Age
The Second Age of Styx begins with the displacement and banishment of the Forestfolk into the Leshivoi Forest and the formation of the first noble rule of the Empire of Styx.
After uniting the three elven clans the Makathrav emerged victoriously and began their dynastic rule over the Empire.
The City of Styx eventually formed from Lakesore, Norrsidra and Zwistroad with fortification happening soon as attacks from the Leshivoi Forest carried out by the Tribes of the Woods were common.
It was during this time that Everyn Katrinova, later canonized as Saint Everyn the War Maiden became famed and celebrated as the primary defender of the City of Styx.
The Second Age is widely considered the golden age of noble rule and remembered with nostalgia by some even today.
The end of the Second Era was heralded by the rule of Zitomira the Mad Queen which was marked by shifting foreign politics and instability caused by the mental unwellness of the queen.
Svetlanna Bezsvetowna taking control of the Throne of Styx via a coup is considered the end of the Second Age as well as the Old Empire period and the begin of the Middle Ages during which Styx was ruled by the Bezsvetowna dynasty.
