Makathrav
The Makathrav were the dynasty that ruled the Empire of Styx during the Second Age.
It is said that after the clan-based First Age the Sumraki-Ashaī of Styx had fully settled and more elaborate systems of governments came to be; the Makathrav were the family that came out on top after centuries of intrigue and politics.
They were the direct descendents of some of the prophets that led the Sumraki-Ashaī on their Great Exodus.
The Makathrav are credited for constructing the Throne of Styx, an arcane artifact of great yet unknown powers that stayed in their possession until they were ousted by the Bezsvetowna family at the end of the Second Age.
The time of Makathrav rule is referred to within Styx as the Old Empire period and has been studied extensively by the history department of the Academia Ars Magicka et Mundana.
