Spoke of Spring
The Spoke of Spring is one of the Four Spokes of the Wheel of Seasons as they are observed by the Eldest Faith among the Forestfolk of the Leshivoi Forest.
It is also called the First Spoke and the Thaw Spoke.
Mī.nell-thanī the Firstborn of Hares is the Heralding Sein of Spring.
Hī.Ffillin-iþ’íl the Firstborn of Foxes and M̄-háll-Llarā the Firstborn of Magpies are also part of this spoke with Té-jialla-mé’rā the Firstborn of the Rivers being its Harbinger Sein.
The Spoke of Spring is associated with rebirth, new growth and developments as well as reinvogoration of nature.
Among the Forestfolk the Thaw Spoke is traditionally the time when declarations of war and hostility become culturally acceptable after the extended peace or at least armistice of the cold season.
