Escher
Escher is a vampire spawn and servant of Strahd von Zarovich — his exact nature and role is unknown, but he was sent to announce to the Vistani their newfound permission to enter the town of Vallaki following the abduction of the Martikovs and their being revealed as, allegedly, lycanthropic spies working against Strahd. However, given Luvash's comment that he hadn't seen Escher since Luvash was a little boy, it seems this is not a common occurrence.
While the party was at Castle Ravenloft, Escher slipped them a note indicating that they had allies within the castle.
Escher is an exceptionally beautiful young(?) man(?) with a decidedly foppish air. He speaks in a similar accent to Strahd, though he hasn't quite mastered the accent yet. His hair is spectacular.
