Seriach, the Hell Hound Whisperer
Seriach is a being that contacted Ayduin through the ritual three dreams. While some other powers opted for more discussion in their visitations, Seriach followed a similar approach to Sykane, only revealing himself in the third dream. In the first two, Ayduin thought he was in the Feywild Feywild, and had to do battle with a dandylion and a kapny. In the final dream, once again Ayduin found himself in the Feywild, where he saw themiskites flying overhead before finding Seriach and his hell hounds by a pool of water.
The pair had a discussion, with Seriach offering Ayduin the opportunity to deepen his connection with nature and restore balance to the world — in part by destroying Strahd von Zarovich — with the ability to use Seriach's hellhounds on occasion. When Seriach's hellhounds kill, he absorbs power from that death.
Seriach appeared as a carefully unremarkable-looking, well-groomed man, and claimed he is in favour of balance and order.
As Ayduin's corruption deepened, he sought to break his bond with Seriach, and found aid from an unexpected source: Alandras, Osrin's former deva guide. He was able to successfully reject Seriach, the second of the party to break his pact after agreeing to a deal with a Dark Power.
