Tverdzavia

Tverdzavia was the empire of King Barov von Zarovich, and Strahd's childhood home. Though it's unknown how far the Tverdzavian empire spread, the party knows thanks to the research of El'zai, Maivialar, and Gritsk — passed on from Cal to Osrin — that the heart of the empire was located in what is now the Shaar, and that they conquered areas in Chondath, Chessenta, Turmish, Tethyr, Amn, and more over 1,000 years ago in Faerûn. Around the year 350, all trace of Tverdzavia and the von Zarovich line seems to disappear — our heroes know, of course, that this is around the time Barovia disappeared into the mists and fell out of time with the Material Plane.
