Rove
Rove is militaristic kingdom on Gradus. It stretches from the western coast to the core of Mifob. The vast Empire of Rove dominates much of Mifob. It grew during the Age of Reformation, and its line of emperors has been unbroken for thousands of years. organized into satrapies that pay homage to the decrees of the empire, but the grip of the empire is looser than it has been in the past.
Long ruled by the Emperor from its capital Alaq, Rove benefited from its magical strength. The Rovians pioneered the elemental mana theory of magic on Gradus. Rove has possessed a large standing army (personified by the Knightly Order of Irnim) but was also constantly the site of internal squabbling by its contentious and powerful noble class. For many years, Rove was the home of the great mages Tezhal and Ajroel.

Culture
The sun goddess Freyvro is the Kingdom's patron deity. Many missionaries from the principality spread the faith into the Inner Sea, leading to much political upheaval in Geiddnir.
Nomadic horse lords dominate the central deserts of Rove's domain but they too must pay their respect to their distant rulers. Though these ethnic Eurabites worship many of the same gods as their heartland nobles, the horse lords also have their own unique beliefs and legends, notably that of Statir Golk.
Assets
In addition to the Imperial Lands, the empire is organized into numerous satrap states. The power of the emperor has been supported for thousands of years through the exploitation of wishcrafting by bound genies, powerful elementalists, and esoteric mathematicians.

Trade & Transport
Rove's Lifespring is the overland trade route called the Emperor's Trail. It begins in Ouantan and travels through the heart of Rove, ending in the Kilisnyan capital of Tolulepe. Its exports include silk, philosophy, drugs, and bronzework. Pilgrims of the goddess Freyvro, whose worship is believed to have begun in Rove, can often be found traveling along the route to visit her many holy shrines there. The best known of these pilgrimage sites is the Shining Oasis, where Freyvro's faithful come to bathe in its rejuvenating waters, but unfortunately also are relieved of their possessions by unscrupulous merchants and bandits.

Undeclared War
Kilisnya and its parent state, Rove, are hated in Tordal. Tords watched as Qadira occupied southern Taldor for almost 500 years, enslaved the city of Stokken, put nearly every settlement in the Kotobetsu Plain to the torch, and distracted the empire at a crucial moment with an invasion, allowing Saol to secede in the Even-Tongued Conquest. At nominal peace for the last century, Tordal now uses the Stokk Corsairs to plague all Rovian shipping from Chau Ca Ba to Muzayrif, and both nations still raid each other's shipping lanes.
