Dragon's Tooth Mountains

A jagged mountain range in the north-eastern corner of the Desert of Desolation follows the curve of the Dustwall about sixty miles inside the desert. Known locally as the Dragon's Tooth Mountains, the range is rich in mineral resources and also formed a convenient source of quarried stone.   Peculiarities of the geography make the range particularly effective at collecting water. Lake Tepi butts up against a mountain in the range, held within a bowl of deep clay deposits with nowhere to escape. The smallĀ Waset oasis was formed by a rising aquifer, guided by a sub-surface fold in the rocks.   The Ulfgar Mine was carved into the range following veins of precious metals which brought Ka-Tepi to prominence.   The Pyramid of Khonsu was built by converting most of a smaller mountain at the end of the range into quarried blocks, which Khonsu then turned into her final resting place, in an effort which took over twenty years to complete.
