Swiftbright Messages specialises in getting messages to their destination. The speed (and fee) depend on the urgency and distance.
The store is run by the scribe Muhsin al-Gaber, and it has grown from a simple letter-writing service to the premier method of swiftly and securely delivering messages in the town of Ka-Tepi and its surrounds.
At the most basic, customers are able to have a letter written by one of the scribes in the store. For a small additional fee, one of the street urchins who linger nearby will run the message anywhere in town. For a slightly larger fee, an adult courier will carry the message or small package to its destination, ensuring it is protected en route. An additional fee sees the courier accompanied by a guard.
Messages can also be delivered to surrounding towns and oases by carrier pigeon, or for a greater fee a rider will carry it, ensuring it cannot be brought down by a hunting hawk. Arrangements can be made to entrust long-distance messages and cargo to one of the caravans which pass through Ka-Tepi, as al-Gaber has long-standing contracts with the most reliable.
