Glade of Decay

Location

It is typical of the forest of the bugbears that beautiful places alternate with ugly, nasty, or outright dangerous places. By far, the most dangerous part of the forest is the Glade of Decay, which can be found on the eastern side of the forest, close to the lupins' Hunting Grounds.

What can be found in the glade?

The blight rot. It covers the whole, and this disease makes the glade the most dangerous part of the forest. Rumor says there is a gigantic building in the middle of the glade, which is the center of the blight. The information comes from one who supposedly visited this building, but when he spoke about the building, he was in a state of delirium, and a few minutes later, he died. There is one item in his favor of the story. He was so tainted with the blight that helpers could only stay close to him for a few minutes or risk exposure. When the news started to spread, treasure hunters arrived to find the structure, but only a few had returned from the blight.

Size of the glade

Ever growing. As the blight rot grows, the glade grows with it, so everyone will know what to expect. If someone talks about the glade, it talks about the place that encompasses the blight. Before the Rending, its size was about an acre. Since the Rending, it grows continuously, like the Rending brought something to the surface that taints its surroundings. The Blightwardens organization tries to stop the rot but can only slow it down.

How does the glade look?

It radiates a feeling of dread and desolation. Large swathes of dead or dying vegetation, trees with withered trunks and rotting roots, bare patches utterly devoid of life, and certain areas, especially around water sources, have a faint, eerie glow. It looks like someone's feverish nightmare.
I was there several times to help, but the Blightwardens do their best. Unfortunately, this is not enough to stop the spread of the blight
