Librarium of the Broken Black Wing

Six years ago, a caravan returning to the city from Truestone Quarry was set upon by a gang of vrocks. The caravan might have been outmatched if not for one of the recently hired guards, a wizard of the Gray College named Phandurn Orlun (male human wizard). Phandurn had spent years studying demons, and his spellcasting turned the tide of battle in favor of the caravan. Realizing that the demons didn't return to the Abyss after destruction, Phandurn took the bodies back to the Gray College for study. After serving as a guardsman for another few years, Phandurn founded the Librarium of the Broken Black Wing, displaying one of the preserved vrock wings above the entrance.
The Librarium, often called “Blackwing” by locals, has since become the premier library for demonology and planar travel research in Bloodstone. In addition to being a library, Blackwing is a museum of demon skulls, talons, and other grotesque trophies. Phandurn still oversees the collection of tomes and scrolls and is always keen to acquire new research material for the stacks.
Recently, Phandurn has received help from an elven apprentice named Aravashnial. This young elf burns with a hatred of demons and demonkind. Aravashnial's lover Lylina contributed quite a bit of lore on demons and demon fighting, but has since left the region. Lylina said that she was a member of an organization known as either the Riftwardens or the Gatekeepers, depending on the telling, but Phandurn has not been able to find any record of such an organization.
