Dhar'Kamish God of Dragons, Travel, and Trade

"If you ever travel to Asharai, and I highly recommend it, you will hear the name Dhar’Kamish in every corner of the desert capital. Dhar’Kamish is the god of trade, travel, and dragons, while he has patrons throughout Talos, the nation of Tellius, and Asharai in particular, who are the epicenter of devotion to the god. Any financial transaction is concluded by wishing the other party 'Kamish's blessing', to not do so is considered rude and can actually nullify the entire transaction" (which I discovered one night when trying to book a room at a local inn).
— Spoken by a tradesmen in Emerald Seas

The Dragon of Duality

To explain Dhar'Kamish would be a daunting task for any, this is for one reason which Dhar'Kamish do you believe is the true one? Since the moment of his inception Dhar'Kamish has been a creature of duality. One parent was the first created of Luxsaria herself and the other a trickster in Noctus's legion they couldn't be more different, so was Dhar'Kamish to be the bringer of chaos like his mother or a paragon of good like his father? Some say this question was already answered by Zuerst and his prophecies.

On the day of Dhar'Kamish's birth, Zuerst was overcome by a vision and recorded what he could. In this prophesy it is said that one of their own betrays the gods leading to the death and enslavement of all that oppose Noctus. Between the vision occurring on the day of Dhar'Kamish's birth and the story around his conception, many argue the being in the prophecy is Dhar'Kamish himself and have never given him a chance. While Dhar'Kamish has not shown himself as evil many believe this is just an act from him and his mother she is the Goddess of Trickery after all.

Artifacts

Rumors speak of how Dhar'Kamish keeps control over so many powerful beings being the true father to all dragons. Many of these rumors speak of items the dragon god created that are commonly referred to as the Orbs of Dragonkind. It is said an orb exists for every type of dragon and that the orbs hold some sort of control or sway over the dragons of the corresponding colors.

Holidays

Dryprayer: Dharkamin 1st: As the dry season begins many gather in churches and town squares to pray to Dhar’Kamish in an attempt to appease him so he doesnt bring the dryness from the desert to the entire land. Normally a small bowl of water is left in front of any statues or in any churches dedicated to the god. Many churches offer a prize to the best offering such as water from the celestial falls.   Roar of Kamish - Held on the first night of Ithmir(winter) all the villagers meet at the edge of town right before sunset with anything they have to burn then as the sun sets they begin to light a massive bonfire reaching the sky. Once nightfall has fully set everyone will roar, shout and scream into the night. The bellowing and the fire are meant to represent the roars and fire breath of Dhar’Kamish making sure to keep away any creatures that hide in the upcoming winter nights.

History

Dhar'Kamish was the product of Zalaria's tricks, she disguised herself as Zylen seducing the unknowing Strahl. Dhar'Kamish was unaware of this truth as he was hidden away from the other gods inside the astral sea a place hidden between the realms, the other gods wouldnt even know of his existence until Zuerst's prophecy. In this Realm Dhar'Kamish was trained by Zalaria and Noctus's forces, he would train until exhaustion then as he rested he would dream of a warm glow that he didn't even know the name for as he has never come across such a thing in his life. Evamire and Noctus kept Dhar'Kamish in the void until he was unleashed to mark the start of the First War.

History

Dhar'Kamish and his father Strahl have a complicated past to say the least. It all began when Zalaria disguised herself as Zylen and seduced the unknowing Strahl. Once Strahl found out he was tricked he was over taken with a thirst of revenge giving form to Rylai, after forming a weapon and armor for the goddess he sent her to track down Zalaria. Time had past before both Strahl and Zuerst feel a burning surge one night, Zuerst goes to create his betrayal prophecy while Strahl already knows the truth Zalaria has given birth to his child. It would be an untold about of years before father and son would meet this event would take place on the battlefield at the beginning of the First War. As soon as Dhar'Kamish was unleashed from the Astral sea he knew something was wrong this wasn't a place to change or destroy, the very thing Dhar'Kamish always dreamed about was everywhere and it was called sunlight. The two would meet on the battlefield for just a moment before the forces of Lucsaria begin there retreat. After several smaller battles Dhar'Kamish would come with Bahamut and the metallic dragons stating there desire to form an alliance with Luxraia's forces. The gods gathered to counsel what should be done strahl and rylai strongly went against accepting the dragons but Yoshio, Amaranth, Primoria, Zylen, and Luxsaria all defended the dragons and eventually after what seemed like an eternity Dhar'Kamish and his forces where accepted. Since then it seems like Dhar'Kamish has been able to slightly change his fathers opinion the pair have grown closer fighting together on the battlefield.

History

The conception of Dhar'Kamish directly caused the creation of Rylai, once Strahl found out he was tricked by Zalaria possing as Zylen he was over taken with a thirst of revenge giving form to Rylai. Strahl immediately went to his anvil gorming some of his greatest works forming armor and the Sea-Splitting Trident for the goddess before sent her to track down Zalaria. Rylai would fail to find Zalaria before hearing the news of Dhar'Kamish, learning of this she would boil with rage gaining a new target for her revenge. Ever since then Rylai's history has been filled with clashes again Zalaria across the realms this all changed with the First War. Finally after eons Rylai gains a chance to strike down her other target as Dhar'Kamish leaves the astral sea she spent most of her time during the first battle fighting him and his dragons until Luxsaria's forces retreated. Rylai adamantly argued against it once she was called to counsel stating Dhar'Kamish would be joining Luxsaria's forces. Even with all of this Rylai refuses to stop going after Dhar'Kamish only making an exception during the battles of the first war. After hearing of Luxsaria's plan to seal away to gods Rylai charged to the Astral Sea afraid Dhar'Kamish would be unaffected in this space she threw herself inside locking them both into an unending battle that many say is still ongoing today.
