High Elder

Appointment

A High Elder is appointed through trial by combat from the previous High Elder.

Responsibilities

The High Elder oversees the mission and welfare of all Brothers of Steel.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

A High Elder can only be removed via trial by combat or natural death. It is customary for a High Elder to choose a successor by challenging an Elder to trial by combat. If a High Elder dies of natural causes, the senior Elder in the Brotherhood of Steel is appointed as the new High Elder.
