Description

During the Cataclysm, a piece of the first starfall struck the quaint tavern, creating the pit from which their hordes would expand their tunnel network. The Rat's Nest Tavern sign, depicting a bloated rat sleeping on a food-pile, still hangs above the entrance.

The ratling hordes control the tavern, specifically the caves underneath. Much of their activity in the Sprawl originates from beneath this simple building.

Locations

Although the caves directly underneath the tavern contain the seat of the Rat King's power, the tunnels extend to all other parts of Redgaard.

History

When the comet struck Redgaard, a piece of meteorite hit the Rat's Nest Tavern and punched a hole through the ground, and the ratlings constructed a huge tunnel network outward.
When Kapital sought to rescue Petra Lang, they burned many ratling nests, felled the Rat King in a deadly battle, and freed the Hooded Lantern officer. Unable to attack Squeakers effectively, the group fled the tunnels and the ratlings hordes that gave chase.
